History: GH-Stadium opened in 1987 in response to the increasing need for quality child care on Ann Arbor’s west side. This facility was extensively renovated in 2001. Conveniently located for quick drop-off and pick-up, this house is nestled on the edge of a tree-lined, quiet neighborhood with several parks. There are two playgrounds with age-appropriate equipment: one for infants and toddlers, and one for preschool and up.
Meet Our Director: Stadium Director Nan Mastie has a bachelor’s degree in Child Care Administration from Montreat College. She was the director of GH-WISD and GH Mt. Pleasant before she became director of the Stadium center in 2006. Nan heads up the Gretchen’s House Health and Safety Committee. Nan has worked in conjunction with the Washtenaw Area Council for Children and presented nationally and locally on health and safety topics. Nan is a certified HighScope Trainer. In her spare time Nan enjoys reading, Tae Kwon Do, swimming, and spending time with her husband (an Ann Arbor native) and their three kids. Interested in setting up a tour? E-mail us!
