Gretchen's House Child Care Centers

Handouts from our NAEYC '08 sessions are  here.

I never thought I'd say it is a pleasure to drop my kids off at childcare, but it is. I drive off to work knowing that my kids are not merely waiting for my return, but learning, growing, and thriving at Gretchen's House.

PROGRAMS: Full-day care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and Pre-K children; morning preschool; schoolage care during school vacations.

HISTORY: Little Oaks Child Development Center was established in 1986 to offer high quality child development programs exclusively for employees of Oakland County. The building is a secure facility designed with children in mind, located on the Oakland County Campus. Our classrooms are clean, bright, and well-appointed for the children they serve. Each program has its own entrance to an enclosed, age-appropriate playground with climbers and outdoor toys. And each "pod" or wing of the building has a communal area where small groups of children can gather to play.

MEET THE DIRECTOR: Center Director Pat Mueller has twenty-five years of experience in public and private early childhood programs. She holds degrees in Early Childhood Education and Business Management. Pat has been a National Field Consultant for the High Scope Educational Research Foundation since 1988. Pat has been with Gretchen's House at Little Oaks since 2001.
