History: GH-Stadium opened in 1987 in response to the increasing need for quality child care on Ann Arbor’s west side. This facility was extensively renovated in 2001. Conveniently located for quick drop-off and pick-up, this house is nestled on the edge of a tree-lined, quiet neighborhood with several parks. There are two playgrounds with age-appropriate equipment: one for infants and toddlers, and one for preschool and up.
Meet our Director: Sara Guoan graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 2003 and started working at Gretchen’s House shortly thereafter. Sara worked as a lead teacher for nine years, giving her experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, young fives, and school aged children. She also worked as an Assistant Director for two years prior to taking on the role of Director of Gretchen’s House Stadium in 2014. Sara is married to Brad Guoan who is the Director of the Gretchen’s House on Mt. Pleasant. She and Brad live in Brighton and have one daughter. In their spare time they enjoy spending time traveling, boating, camping, hiking, bird watching and hosting their family and friends.
