History: Gretchen’s House-Traver opened in the Fall of 1991. It comprises three buildings: a main building which has infant & toddler classrooms; a cottage and barn, which houses a mixed age group of preschoolers.  GH-Traver is situated in an established neighborhood convenient to many major Ann Arbor employers. It’s on a quiet street and is within walking distance of several city parks and Leslie Science Center. There are three separate playgrounds: one for infants and toddlers, one for preschoolers, and one for school age children.

Meet the Director: Danielle Wiener joined Gretchen’s House in 2007. She has as associate’s degree in Early Childhood from Niagara County Community College and earned her bachelor’s of arts degree in Education with a minor in Psychology from Dominican College. Before taking on the role of Assistant Director/Office Manager, Danielle worked in both the I/T and Preschool programs as a teacher and then the Young 5’s program as a Lead Teacher at our Dhu Varren location.
